Please note that EZTEC Scientific Toys brand toy trains are about 10-20% smaller than other true G scale brands, but they do run on the same gauge track.
Important note: The end-connectors of the track provided in all new EZTEC train sets is now different from the style used previously, and so is not compatible with the older style.
The new style end-connectors are more fragile, so please be careful when connecting and disconnecting the track. Replacement/expansion track may be available separately. The track included in this set should be quite functional, even when small hairline fractures occur at the rail ends. Consider replacing the track from this set with other G gauge track that is more durable.

Review : Don't waste your money
My parents bought this for my son when he was 2. In the package it looks like it would be pretty cool. ITS NOT! The entire thing is made from brittle plastic and very cheaply built. The tracks will break when you are assemblingq them and your child will be devastated when you have to take their train away from them through no fault of their own. While running (when it actually stays on the tracks) the motor is extremely loud. It plays music which is also intolerable. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this product.
